世界遺産にも登録されている白川郷の様子です。
色々なものを見ながら歩いていると
ふと水車小屋がありました。
電気もガスもない時代には
水車など水の力を利用した 色々な道具があったようですよね。
今現在は、物が多すぎるのかもしれません。
一度全部ないところからやり直してみると 面白いのかななどと想像してしまいます。
まぁ全部は無理かもしれませんが
なるべくシンプルに私はいきたいなぁと
思っています。
白川郷に行った際にはぜひ見学してみてください。
This is a scene from Shirakawa-go, which is also registered as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
As I was walking around, taking in the sights, I suddenly came across a small watermill hut.
Back in the days when there was no electricity or gas, it seems people used various tools powered by water, like waterwheels.
These days, maybe we have too many things.
Sometimes I imagine what it would be like to start over from nothing— maybe it would actually be interesting.
Well, it might be impossible to go completely back, but I’d like to live as simply as I can.
If you visit Shirakawa-go, I definitely recommend taking a look around.
