世界遺産にも登録されている白川郷の様子です。
Myozenji Museum 明善寺庫裡 の窓から外を見たところです。
私は何回か白川郷に来ていますが
明善寺のこの建物に入ったことがなかったので
今回は見学させてもらうことにしました。
中に入ると色々な昔ながらの道具が
たくさん展示してあったりして
なかなかよかったです。
作りが懐かしいなと
思ったのは自分の祖父の以前の家が
かなり近い作りになっていたからだと思います。
屋根も茅葺の古いものでしたので。
囲炉裏があって天井がすごく高くて
柱が見えていたり、色々なことを思い出します。
白川郷に行った際にはぜひ見学してみてください。
This is a view of Shirakawa-go, which is also registered as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
It’s the view from a window inside the Myozenji Museum (Myozenji Temple Residence).
I’ve been to Shirakawa-go several times, but I had never entered this building at Myozenji Temple before, so I decided to explore it this time.
Inside, there were all kinds of traditional tools and implements on display, and it was actually quite interesting.
I found the structure nostalgic, probably because my grandfather’s old house had a very similar design.
The roof was also made of traditional thatch.
There was an irori (sunken hearth), the ceiling was very high, and the wooden beams were exposed— it brought back a lot of memories.
If you visit Shirakawa-go, I highly recommend stopping by for a look.
