Kyoto Station

京都駅ビルの中です。

大昔に来た時とは変わり果てていてびっくりしました。

大阪の駅もそうですけど、大きな建物になりましたよね。

でもせっかくあるスペースを活かしきれていないかなぁっというのが正直な感想です。

立派な建物を建てるのも大事なのかもしれませんが、

その後の運用、運営はもっと大切なんじゃないかなぁと。

その辺りまでしっかりとトータルで

デザインしていけるともっと素敵な場所が増えるのでは

ないかなぁと思ったりしました。

Inside Kyoto Station Building.

I was surprised at how much it had changed since I visited a long time ago.

Just like the stations in Osaka, it has become a huge building.

But honestly, I feel that the space isn’t being fully utilized.

Building impressive structures is important, but

I think the subsequent operation and management are even more crucial.

If the overall design could address those aspects as well,

I believe it could make for even more wonderful places.
