タイでは毎年このくらいの時期になると
Loy Krathong Festivalというのが
あちこちでひらかれます。
聞いたことがある方もいるかもしれませんが、
川や湖、池などの水辺に灯篭を流すことで、水の神様（Phra Mae Khongkha）に感謝し、悪運を流し去るという意味を持っています。
そのお祭りに合わせて
いろんな屋台などが設置されたりして
人々で賑やかになります。
Every year around this time in Thailand, the Loy Krathong Festival is held in various places. You may have heard of it before. The festival involves floating lanterns on bodies of water such as rivers, lakes, or ponds to show gratitude to the water goddess (Phra Mae Khongkha) and to wash away bad luck.
In conjunction with the festival, various stalls and booths are set up, creating a lively atmosphere filled with people.
