Wat Kalayanamit です。中国系と強く関わりのあるお寺です。
近所なのでよく周辺を歩きますが、
ここのお寺は昔ながらの建物を平気で壊したり、
仏像の類も壊したりします。
綺麗な建物、綺麗な銅像にすればいいというもんでもない気がしますが。。
まぁ宗教もビジネスの面が強すぎるとありがたみも何もないですよね。
皆さんはどう思いますか？
このお寺の始まりは
元々は多くの地元の人たちの土地などの
寄付から始まっています。
ですがあまり周辺と仲良く
と言うのもあまり見られないですね。。
Wat Kalayanamit It’s a temple with strong Chinese influence.
Since it’s in my neighborhood, I often walk around the area, but this temple tends to destroy old buildings and statues without much thought.
I don’t think simply replacing them with beautiful buildings and statues is the answer…
When religion becomes too much of a business, it loses its sense of reverence, doesn’t it?
What do you think?
This temple originally started from donations of land and more from many local people.
However, I don’t see much harmony between the temple and the surrounding community.
